I know I started thread in this while go. WhT kind of milk is the healthier or better one for a person? Currently I am kinda liking oat milk, but I use half/half in coffee

For coffee, I am black and bitter now to cut down on the fat and sugar. Its been year's of black coffee for me at this point and I cant imagine going back to cream or sweetener now.

But, I do drink Oatly brand oat milk, the 0% fat (white) carton, instead of milk. It's good stuff but only if I remember to shake it before I use any.

I am not into dairy of any kind and use only Almond mild and the wife like Almond milk vanilla with her coffee.

With cereal/granola, I use oat milk. Not because I think it's healthier than other non-dairy milks, but because I like the taste. For some reason I cannot stand the taste of almond milk.

With coffee, I use lactose-free regular/cow milk.

Almond milk is dumb and marketing at it's finest. What is the first ingredient in almond milk? Water. If it says almond base it's a deception to fool people. Plus almond milk is often enriched like white bread is. It's best to get your nutrients from whole foods. Have you priced almonds? Not many go into making almond milk.

So, am I safe to assume that oat or almond milk is healthier? Co worker read something about cows milk that the globules in it are supposedly easily absorbed but I’m not sure. Any help is appreciated. Thank You Quattro Pete😊👍

I have my coffee black - without water. Actually, I use cream or whole milk. I'm not a milk drinker, although I love cheese and yogurt. I stopped drinking milk as a beverage in my late teens when I found out that I would get sinus congestion after consuming more than a glass here and there. I have no problems with fermented dairy products. For hot cocoa I use whole milk. I do drink oat "milk." Plain Silk Creamy Lowfat is my preferred choice. Oat "milk" contains beneficial beta glucans that can help lower cholesterol if that's important to you.
