I put a set on my Sister's Impala and they have been great for what they are. No complaints at all. They are even very good in the snow( 10X's better than the OEM GY's ). I wouldn't run them on a luxury vehicle or anything but for a beater or someone with a limited budget like my Sister has they seem to be good tires. If you have never used them how can you make the claims you are?

None of the above mentioned will I knowingly have installed on my cars. Scares the tar out of me with all the semis outfitted with Linglongs.

This. I remember being stuck in traffic on the interstate and was bored and watched the rigs as they rolled by and I saw the usual brands: Goodyear, Bridgestone, Michelin, Firestone, BF Goodrich, General, Continental, Yokohama etc. But I did see enough rigs with drive tires made by LingLong and Sumitomo.

Wait...how did Sumitomos get in there? If the RT43s didn't look so good, I'd throw another set of Sumi tires on my Cobalt. Handling (Grip for those sporty turns) aren't what they used to, but the tires have been a pleasant surprise, and are wearing quite well. I kinda figured they would wear like Falkens do, but have been proven wrong so far. They even do pretty well in the winter too....

These are much better than linglongs or westlake tires.....

What's cheaper? A set of no name tires for $200 that will last 40000 miles and have subpar performance. Or top brand tires for $400 that last 80000 miles and have cutting edge performance.

Having said that, the worst tires on tire rack are brand name OEM tires such as Bridgestone Turanza EL400-02 which come on smaller Toyotas, Hondas and Mazdas.

OMG, I never saw tires so badly rated.

Agree but I would amend that to the worst tires I have ever used were Goodyears.

Higher price with tires does not always mean better quality.

My dad has a set of Goodyear Workhorse on his truck for winter - I have the same set (well, same size .. not physically same tire!) on my Cherokee.

They flatspot like bias ply tires. It's horrible if it sits for a week.

I wouldn't...I have no complaints about several other Goodyears (including the Eagles on my Caddy), but the Assurances were dreadful.

NEVER had a set of GY's that were any good. Worst tire brand on the market IMO. When they do offer a decent tire( they have a couple that are ok )they are so expensive vs another brand's model that will perform the same/better that it would be nuts to buy the GY's.

I am glad you like some of them. That is cool. At least for me it is the worst tire mfg out there. hands down bar none.

The Assurance Comfortred is the greatest tire around.
Smooth and quiet. Just what my Lincoln Town Car
requires. Never had a better ride, especially on
long highway trips. Like riding on glass.

Although I do wish they'd bring back the
Aquatred.

That's bad ... that has to cause ear damage at that point. I have mud tires on my Jeep and they are quiet compared to my Winterforce tires.
