MicroGard Select MSL10255 PG-made center tube contamination

I'm taking a guess that you can't vacuum this oil or grease metal flake out because it clings to the inside or outside of the center tube.
I agree. But loose metal debris could be vacuumed out. Personally I’ve never tried it.

I think it is just lubricant on the forming dies and mandrels for the center tube manufacture mixed with metallic dust from the stamping process.
We're all pretty heavily into our oils here, I'm not a fan of that. Mostly it's probably no issue, but the idea itches the mind. Potentially mixing with the oil to have undesirable effects esp the dust

I went to Orielly’s to grab a filter. An observation I noticed that others have pointed out in the past. The Vietnam made PG’s quality are quite better than the ones from China. The Microgard I grabbed was squeaky clean on the inside too. The workers were looking at me funny as I shoved my finger down the center of several filters lol

The workers at our local O'Reilly look funny all the time. I think most of their brain power goes to breathing.
