Hi all, this filter came off my company truck a 2015 Silverado 1500 ext cab 4X4 w/4.3 V6 and 159,556 miles. The filter had 5,706 miles on it. Oil was Valvoline Restore and Protect. Overall it looks like this is a quality filter and I’d have no hesitation using another.

On a side note it looks like Valvoline Restore and Protect is doing some work as there’s little black carbon particles between the pleats. This truck hasn’t/doesn’t use any oil between changes. I just wanted to try Valvoline Restore and Protect and see if there was anything to clean.

Nice work. Guessing same oil and filter back in and on

As expected topic MSL looks good. Fwiw, plan on following your Valvoline Restore and Protect trial on an older 3.0L Accord. Fill hole view looks good, golden hue and no usage. Just curious to see what if anything it might do in one use.

Thanks for c&p.
