Microgard MGL57060 C&P

In reading some of his posts, its appears the guy is a veteran of c&p. Sometimes it's hard to read between the (sparse) lines. Here, I didn't feel the need for hand-holding.

Big issue here is the stiff adbv. That's a FAIL.
FWIW, in the 2.4 the filter sits open side up, so any backflow will stop when the galleys are empty and the entire filter shouldn't drain.

Still not ideal, but not as bad as a horizontal or open side down filter.

Now, the reason I wanted to see the spring is to avoid buying and cutting one for no reason. I have a sneaking suspicion that all of the Asian PG long life filters are not that much different from one another, despite so much differing information about filter efficiency.
This Microgard uses a leaf spring. Most PGI extended life filters use a coil spring instead. What needs to be looked at so closely on this Microgard leaf spring?
