holy moly, that stuff is $65/gal and you need 1 gallon for every four of gas.

We will know Tuesday NASCAR will report the test results after replacing the manifold on the impounded car car and starting it same thing happened oil on the under side of manifold they doin't know why the blow by is occurring. The crew chief's will kill for 1 or 2 miles of speed.

yep, not cheap, but we didn't use much. On a drag sled we would soak small sponges with it and drop them above the carb slides. When the throttle got squeezed full open it would squeeze into the carb bores. Combined with big fat main jets it would make a bunch of power (if it didn’t burn down). Win the race and pass tech, engine cc and fuel tests. Eventually got caught.

Anyone have any idea why NASCAR won't tell us before the race, but is waiting until Tuesday?

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ (i.e.; Toyota's)

dailydriver,

You are correct and NASCAR will not revile what the substance was they found because of Toyota. I do not understand why NASCAR will not approve additives for engines. The oil company's advertise thier products with NASCAR and team owners. I live about 8 miles from Daytona International Speedway and have attended over 90 races over the years it has always fascinated me.I have had information the substance was XR15.

Here's some fodder for the conspiracy theorists.

ESPN2 has a series following the progress of Michael Waltrip Racing. I stumbled across the first show awhile back, but hadn't watched any since so I don't know how soon the airings follow real life happenings.

Curious to see how the events of Daytona qualifying would be portrayed - and if last night's show pertained to the events of last weekend - I tuned in to the scheduled-as-new episode, but instead saw some poker show.

Hmmm, was last night's episode supposed to have been coverage of last weekend's qualifying for the 500?

Why was it not aired?

Who is that behind the curtain?

Black helicopters, you say?

I ran across this post thought it was intersting no substance was named.

NASCAR officials will not release the name of the substance, treating it as they would a failed drug test in which the name of the drug is not revealed.
"It's nobody's business what it is," said Robin Pemberton, NASCAR's vice president for competition. "The bottom line is it's a foreign substance in the intake manifold."

Yup. Gotta protect/keep those Camrybucks rolling in.

Makes me wonder why they even called TOY out for it in the first place. Probably just for "appearance's" sake.

Don't want to embarrass a paying guest. How did the Toyota's do in the race? I can never keep track of who is driving what. Those cars all look the same to me.

Highest finishing Toyota was Dale Jarrett in 22nd and Michael Waltrip in 30th - both from Michael Waltrip Racing.
