I will not support or watch any team that he plays for. I hope no team hires him but I know one will.

Vick got a harsh sentence. A very harsh sentence. Everything is way overboard nowadays.

I don't think his sentence was overly harsh. (It was more than I thought he would get, thats for sure) but I thought the more serious conviction was conspiracy not dog fighting per say.

I'm not fond of pit bulls personally. They have a long history of killing innocent women and children. Mike Vick fought pit bulls against each other. It's like supervising (and betting on) a jail fight.

I guarantee that an NFL franchise will hire him. QB's don't grow on trees and million dollar contracts for football players happen.
I for one am pulling for him.
What is underestimated is his background and upbringing. Folks like that grew up with their uncles, kin, and friends taking them to dog fights, it was not viewed as wrong, they simply look at "dogs"/ animals differently. wrongly or rightly sport/gambling if you will.
Add to that the ego and dollar bills that go along with an icon's mentality and the hero worship people give and you have a recipe that begs indifference.

He has paid a legal price, he is paying the price to society, pita, humane society, monetarily lost millions, and has to live with himself.

I hope he comes back and kicks A$$!!!!

Between me and my parents we have 6 dogs that are either pure or mixed with pit bull. They are the sweetest dogs we have ever had. The dogs are not bad. People make them bad. I don't understand people not liking them because of their history. Having said that it does take a more responsible owner to take care of these dogs. But I never blame the dog. Humans should take the blame for not raising them right. And as far as Salesreps comment about his upbringing.....im sorry but he is an adult. I do not care what environment he grew up in. If his parents were smoking crack and stealing to get the crack then its ok for him to do it? Sorry, again he is an adult and makes his own decisions.

agree . There's right and there's wrong . Not that difficult decision to make . Quite sure drugs were involved as well . He and many celebrities are poor inspirations for the youth

. Not pulling for him . Just shows society is going to h*ll in a hand basket

. Ain't what it used to be

I have not read most of the posts on this thread, but I think anyone who thinks that Vick shouldn't get another chance in the NFL better not be a fan of Michael Jackson. One was convicted of abusing dogs (I'm a dog owner) and the other engaged in questionable activities with children. I find it odd that when Michael Jackson died people seemed to almost worship him, yet Vick can't get a second chance.

The reality is that Vick's creditors need him to make money to pay them off and if his name remains in the news the battle against dog fighting will get a lot more media attention.

He's a dirt bag, but at least he served his sentance and didn't whine about it.

And naturally, Pit Bulls became what they are ...naturally. Oh wait, they didn't, did they?

Right, they are a product of warped breeding and were actually bred to be brainless and vicious attack beasts.

Good to see M.V. sign with the Eagles.

Michael Vick said tonite on 60 minutes that when he was 8 years old he witnessed a dog fighting contest in his neighborhood and the cops came by and just drove off, he thought since the cops did not do anything it was not so bad.

I believe the reason the cops went to his place was because they were investigating one of his cousins or somebody else that was living there for drug possesion.

All the other guys got off, they should have done some time too, remember Vick could have come clean when the cops busted this thing, but he lied at 1st.
