Mexican gas gan

Took one of the adventures offered in Puereto Vallerta. Its was a boat ride with snorkel to hidden beach. Then a ride in a skiff to another beach. Nice time.

The skiff had a 5 gallon container that was initially used for trying oil at a restaurant. (I think). They poked a hole in the cap and shoved in a gas line. But it could have tipped over and the gas would have started to run out. The skiff was open and did not see a fire extinguisher. The 115 HP outboard was steered by its lever, I did not think its legal at that HP.

The main boat was fine, life preservers for everyone. No issues.

None detracted from a good time however.

Great advice. If you have your wife and kids with you make sure to throw them in first. Maybe you will in site of land.

Maritime safety laws in Mexico?

Various cab rides in Puerto Vallarta were equally interesting. Old VW Golf that appeared to be painted in gloss latex house paint. Held together with baling wire and duct tape.

This is Mexico, after all.
PV is a nice place to visit.
When we were last there, we could have paid for a new construction condo on the beach out of our checkbook.
Not sure about ownership of Mexican real property by American nationals, though.
Mexico is exotic and authentic yet close to the US.
A great place to visit.

Pretty much, travel in the 3rd world enough and you get to see how the other half lives.

my kids, wife, and I are all excellent swimmers. I would never get in any boat without life jackets. If it catches on fire, jump in the water. Like I said, most Americans are wusses.
