Metal vs Fiber End Disks Video

The seal looks the same on the other end. The ADBV seals on the center tube and the ring of clear sealant shown in the picture. The ends of the pleats are sealed well, on the inside of each pleat sealant is applied. Not on the top. I cut open a few of these and it's a good filter design and good quality. When I got the Toyota I started with these, but as always the grass is greener somewhere else. I tried many other brands, now I am back to these. They put a lot of media inside too, the center tube is not widened out to save media and the length of the filter is used much better than some other brands who waste a lot of space. I just returned three Boss filters, lot of metal material, heavy, but found defects already talked about on this site and some not. Pretty disappointing QC on the Purolator new filters. I still have two Fram Tough Guards ($4.26 from Walmart online) and some Ultras. Actually the TG weighs half what the same size Boss dies, but I like it better. The TG seems a pretty good lower cost option and has the high efficiency numbers. The Toyota doesn't sport any factory efficiency numbers but there is quite a lot said about it. I think the Toyota is made cleaner and better than the TG though. Too long a post, oh well. They seal fine is the answer, they didn't forget anything.
