You will not believe this because I don’t believe it myself. I used this product yesterday to clean the wheels on my 2010 MDX. Followed instructions to the tee. The wheels are clean but they have a completely different look. Originally they were bright glossy silver but now they are less glossy and look more gray than silver. I have poured over many product reviews from both UK and USA and no one mentions this. This product is supposed to be pH balanced and totally safe for all wheels. I am going to contact Meguiars but thought I would ask here just in case someone has had a similar experience. Obviously Meguiars is not going to buy me new wheels, heck I would not even ask for that on a 10 yo car. Maybe they will test the product to make sure it is good.

I have found that many wheel cleaners can damage the clear coat finish on wheels. I do not use them.
As I posted, I followed the instructions to a tee. No to the wheel repair question. Photos won’t help since I do not have before photos. The wheels look perfectly fine, just completely different.
Please post what Meguiars says in response.
Did you spray the cleaner on a wet or dry wheel? It’s not acidic and can be used on car paint to remove rail dust although I think Gtechniq Iron Remover does a better job.
Again, I followed the instructions to a tee. Car had not been driven for a couple days. Pulled out of the garage into full shade at 75 degrees. Shook bottle vigorously and sprayed onto dry wheel. Let sit a minute or two and agitated with a wheel brush. Waited another minute and washed completely with a jet stream of water. Blew dry with my leaf blower. BTW, the Meguiars website says if you allow product to dry (which I did not) all you have to do is reapply.
