MC FL2062 5k miles

Changed the oil in our 2.7 Ecoboost F-150 at 5k miles.

Filter looks mighty good for a MC, but then again, they can't hide torn pleats on this one!

Refilled with 6 quarts of Mobil 1 5W30 and another MC filter (way cheaper than Wix or Fram on this application for some reason).

I thoroughly enjoyed changing the oil in this truck - plastic oil pan and drain plug with no tools to remove, and a 27mm socket to remove the oil filter housing. Super easy. Hardest part was changing the three o-rings on the housing, had to use a dental pick on one of them.

Just gotta remember to give it 15 minutes after refilling/starting to check the oil level! Jiffy lubes must hate this one!

I use the MC FL 2017 E Core cartridge filter on my 2007 Fusion. It always comes out fine unlike the Fram cartridge I tried once.

That thing is huge. Should be good for 10-15K.

Actually it's pretty small. Those pics are very deceiving!

I should have used a banana for scale. It's actually about 5 inches tall but very narrow, just shy of 2" diameter.
