Off a 2024 Mazda 3 HB 2.5T for 6months~/1,605 miles. Currently sitting at 3100 miles. Used with whatever fill MZDS-YN-5W30-BK is.

Same exact oil & filter went back in.
This is just from what I see visually I have no real data to back this up but this filter looks vastly inferior to the factory Tokyo Roki filter.

Good breakdown thanks
Would just buying the Supertech version of this filter be any less since it might be the same Champ?

Random green die spot, blue line running across the pleats, on the interior of the filter media. A metal flake here & there.

The "green streak" on the media is signature Champ.... Have always wondered why exactly they do that.

If you like to buy them cheap : https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=4368405&cc=3454862&pt=5340&jsn=11345 or the better version with silicone adbv https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=11192601&cc=3454862&pt=5340&jsn=11350

I don’t see a supertech for this vehicle. From the dealer the oil filter was about $6 if I remember.

The SuperTech ST6607 has the bypass to match the non-Turbo Mazda Skyactiv engines. It appears identical to PE01-14-302B-MV - same blue bypass and e-core construction. The Skyactiv turbo MV filter in OP uses the yellow bypass.

ST filter also has ADBV present unlike the Mazda branded filter.
