Hey folks just wanted to post the results of my UOA on my 2013 Mazda CX-5 (gasoline 2.0L)

Looks good, thanks for sharing. The cst viscosity and flashpoint are getting low. An even 7k might be good?

I basically use the cx-5 as a commuter car, 70 miles roundtrip a day with 80% highway and 20% city driving. Never revved past 4k RPM.

You like the AFE better then the Mazda oil?

Thanks for posting.
If this is the Idemitsu made GF-5 Mazda oil, and it appears to be, it's the first UOA that's been posted.

It's a good UOA.
Not an issue in this application but the oil has sheared quite a bit, more than TGMO does and even more than the Idemitsu high moly GF-4 0W-20 tends to.

Did you go with Mazda Syn0W20 again for the current fill? I may sample off some of my Mobil AFE 0w20 prior to changng, to see if I want to go back to TGMO

AKA MGMO.

Same oil in my 2013 Accord. Will be posting the UOA at my next oil change. Thanks for posting.

Im very happy to see the lack of fuel dilution! This in virgin form is an extremely thin oil and it doesn't appear to have sheered. It's perfect actually, and at 6700 miles too. I think with the strong TBN you should go the full 7500 miles.

I believe so, its the Mazda brand Syn oil w/moly that the dealer uses.

I do about 13-14k miles per year so I'll probably keep my OCI's at every 6 months. I think 7k miles is the most I'd want to put on the oil despite Blackstone saying that I can do 7500.

Has anyone else posted a UOA on a Skyactiv engine yet? I'm curious to see what they look like....

The fuel dilution is sill there and quite severe. The VOA is 8.37 cSt, not anywhere near 6.48.

The fuel dilution can be tackled possibly with the use of 91+ octane (works for me anyway with this engine).

I have one on here but it isn't quite comparable since I use premium gasoline and I doubt anyone else does with their skyactiv. I had a good flash point (>410), viscosity of 8.6+ cSt and TBN around 4 if I remember right with a low TAN. The oil I ran was Castrol OE 0W-20 from the Mazda dealer.
