Accord: More conservative? Maybe, in external styling. The interior is very, very nicely laid out and contemporary, at least my leather is. I don't know if that's conservative or not.
Sedate? Not in the least! Have you driven the V6? I know the AWD in the Mazda will make a difference in handling, but the Accord V6 is extremely quick and handles very well, too. I'm not saying it's "sportier" than the 6, but it's definitely not sedate and is surprisingly athletic.
