May be better off J-walking

I have several times had cars turning left nearly hit me while I am crossing at the cross walk with the walk signal lit up. The people just don't look. I try to look over my shoulder, but then you aren't seeing if an oncoming car is going to make a right turn at you.

Way I figure it, it you J-walk mid block, you only have to look two ways, but if you use the cross walk you have to look four ways. Seems J-walking is a lot safer.

There are some intersections here that I avoid for that same reason. I then cross the street between blocks instead.

I believe so. I never try to cross at an intersection, but I will if it's more convenient.

I jaywalk all the time. I just inconvenience any drivers when I do.
