$19 is a great price for ML Full Synthetic. The blend is usually 13-14 around here. Both are great oils. The blend will go 5-8k and Full Synthetic ML can go 7-10k or longer in my experience. Neither is an energy conserving oil, but will not affect your fuel economy negatively if that's a concern. Just not approved oils for some new car makes while under warranty. But I would not hesitate to use it. I wish they had the Full Synthetic around here and at that price. That would be a deal unless the oil has somehow been downgraded in quality recently. (I doubt it.)

Its still A3 despite what the bottle says HTHS of >3.5 according to Valvo tech. They just revised the label for whatever reason. The Max syn has heavier adds and more visc than the Synpower, only diff.

Got it in my 2003 Camry right now. A little pricey as I went to Valvoline Instant Oil Change and got it done. ( I was lazy )

Seems to be working well.

Quick question, when did this change to a A1 rated oil ? The last jugs I had stated it was A3 no starburst. I really like the idea of a 5w30 A3 oil for $19 for both my VW's. I currently have a sample of it ready to go out for UOA, 7,800 miles.

So is it really the same oil it was (A3) or is it now A1 ???
