lol cheesepuffs* when i say gooey* i didnt mean actually gooey* but it does look like it wants to sludge. Last one, was supertech 10w30. i also noticd* under the fill cap ontop of valvecover..past year, their was burned oil crusted? hardened? all over the metal, peeking into the VERY limited pour hole. That was my father driving it, and going too jiffy lube and oil star places. My point??? i noticed this year..running peak 10w30 synthetic, in summer, at oil change september, the crusted areas undr the cap looked cleaner. Used supertech 10w30, dino, emtpied few days ago...and noticed it was much luch cleaner under the fill cap! was really impressed I could actually see now, where thir was crust, metal* that made me really happy.. Really only started driving the car this year, after it hwas sitting in driveway for 5+years. changed air filter ( rodent or something was making a nest in the air filter housing) and hornets had made a nest in it. Last year, former romate was helpig me get it ready to drive again, june time got hot..started the car, and all the sudden, hornets came out from under the drivers side fender area. I also discovered they came in through the vents* as 3 of them were crawling on me, on my left hand, feeling its legs. they were nasty little pets...we sprayed hornet spray, water form hose..they kept coming back, and back..wanted the corolla form themselves lol.
SO had gotten a dealer toyota denso air filter prob only but 3,200 miles on it at most. Few months ago, got a pure 1 air filter for it. so i do have a better new air filter in it. stop n go, constant red lights, stop signs, idiots who cant drive..its really congested here. Im near I 95, exit 9, and to exit 5 rarely..why? 8-9 mile drive one way to work, and back. the traffic. this past year, engineers were out closing 2 lanes, leaving one open..IMPOSSIBLE to get ahead..so traveling along route 1, which runas along and under I95 to greenwich area, where i work, traffic espcially t rush hour, and fridays spills out onto the streets. oil was a nice golden yellow...3 months and 1,200 miles later...soot tar black colored. Got about 80-85% of a empty milk gllon container full of the used oil..dropped it off at local recycling center. its the stop n go traffic...the oil looked really really sad : ( lol
plus i can tell when its time for a change. the engine may not always want too start first key turn...had this same prob with my old 95 neon. Put new oil filter, and oil* frist key stroke, engine would start n run smooth. i can tell by listening too the engine, in the toyota, it wants the old out, and new oil in. feel it rather*
