marvel mystery oil add to engine oil

I would not use in a modern engine. I would not hesitate to use in an older application.

The stuff works well.... I've used in oil, but small amounts not a whole qt.

works well-used to use it in a 70 Cougar 351-4V Cleveland-stops the bent push rod phenom when shifted at 5500 rpm. Once in a while the old (1982) B & S gets a 2 oz dose, just because there is an open bottle of it around

The cheapest 10W30 you can buy today is a better oil than the best you could buy in 1995.
Why the 1990s?

I use lots of the stuff in my shop. And it smells great too.

Seems like to thin oil guys would like it to thin their 0W20's down a little more. Just kidding.

Good product that has been around for a very long time.

I'm interested in this answer myself.

No harm in using 1/2 qrt. with SM conventional oil in the crank case during last several hundred miles of a winter OCI - just to clean varnish and any deposits up a bit . If using synthetic or the new SN rated conventional oils it probably will not be needed . Still perfectly fine to use in the gas tank at 2 ~ 4 oz. per 10 gal. of gas .

You live in Massachusetts, not like you are living in Florida, MMO added to the oil should help you out during the wintertime.

I have been using MMO with 5w30 motor oil all year round in an engine that now has 390,000 miles and all is fine, I have been doing this for 23,000 miles, if there were any problems then I would be telling everyone.
