Well Pablo I know you like Mexican cuisine...if you know the right places...folks here don't know their heritage(chili peppers)...get my drift! Hardcore dudes talk of the Swamp and Waikiki. It happen in the early 1900's. Story extends on the attack on Pearl Harbor and the Hawaiian curse on the Ala Wai Canal. I'll be all ears when you can tell me about it!

I like some Mexican food. The simple stuff, unamericanized. I'm not a professor of Hawaiian food history. But of course there are south and central american influences (capsicum) as well as Portuguese (sailor) influences (bread, sausages). I think the average fat Hawaiian must eat a boat load of sugar....

I never ate dog before. Fail to understand a stereotype ... You might have met the wrong type....

Have no idea but my neighbor is a retired Air Force Colonel from Texas last stationed in Japan and he does know mequite wood. Geez I gave him my special Kiawe wood chips(10 gls) as he BBQ every weekend with his Weber gas grill. He luvs to BBQ.
