Aw that's a shame. He had a long successful career but will always be best know for the Rifleman. I still watch that show, loved it as a kid and still enjoy it many years later. It's available on IMDB for nothing.
Definitely a show from a different era, the wife and I laugh at some of the lines, so NOT politically correct.

One of my favorite things is watching how well both he and Chuck Connors could ride horses. Lots of scenes with little Mark riding some rough terrain or at a full run, he could ride!

Oh man, this is really sad news. I still watch The Rifleman on YouTube, Inspiration channel and on MeTV and love his relationship with Lucas (his dad).
Didn't he just come across as the best kid in the world on The Rifleman?

I always thought Lucas, (Chuck Conners) was an idiot for not marrying Lou Mallory, (Patricia Blair). She was HOT!
She also played the wife of Daniel Boone and yes she was easy on the eyes!
I remember watching both these shows as a kid, my dad loved westerns.
