I used Redline MT-90 75W-90 GL-4 Synthetic oil for my Ford Escape 5 speed manual https://www.redlineoil.com/mt-90-75w90-gl-4-gear-oil. Always look that says GL-4 on the bottle

On my 1984 Isuzu truck uses 10W-30 engine oil.

Note: I'm not trying to confuse you, consult your owner's manual what kind of transmission oil to use

Officially, GM asked for a 75w90 oil that meets API GL-4 in that gearbox. Make sure you're using an actual MTF though and not an oil designed solely for differentials etc.

Motul. Hopefully the transmission has a fill plug that weeps oil, is level to the threads once filled to the correct amount. Buy 3 liters if it takes 2.2-2.4 as some will be lost if using a gear oil pump... in the fill process and make sure the car is level while working on it.

F40 gearbox 75w85 GL4 3,2L max (2,8L aprox not empty) but last update for better 1-2-3 gears shifting is 2,4L.

The MT in my ‘07 Vue actually called for old school Dexron III, GM 88861800, I used Valvoline Dex III, because others have stated that full syn Dex VI (& similar) could cause leaks. The Vue is basically an Opel (Antara) design, 2.2 engine, Getrag F23 transaxle. It appears your transaxle is a Getrag F40, should use GM 8862472, a GL-4 fluid like GM or Pennzoil Synchromesh should be good (the Pennzoil worked really well in my old xB’s Toyota C50). I honestly think either one would work, even had old Hondas that used 5w30 conventional!
