I was leery of using this filter, thinking that it probably came off of the same assembly line as my beleaguered Bosch 3330 (that had tears). This was fine - all media intact.

Duration: 9K KM's
Vehicle: 2004 Sienna 220K KM's

Indeed, but careful inspection showed no tears. I won't buy any more of American made Mann's after my current stash is used, as I didn't realize they were coming from same plant as Bosch and Purolator when purchasing. The media did not seem as weak as on my Bosch 3330 though.

Nice way to cut open a filter and puts me to shame LOL! Thanks for C&P sir

I don't think you paid as much as he did for his cutter:)

Ha - well I wish it was a Leblond. No, it's a cheapo Taiwanese 14 x 40 - at least it has a decent Bison chuck though.

Purolator Mann, not the same as euro ones.
At least in my experience, all of the MANN filters i've used have performed exceptionally well "aesthetically" wise, straight pleats and no tears.(Built in Germany, Mexico and another Europe country which i forgot)
