Man worked his first and only job for 72 years

I love these stories. Back when I was working at a passenger airline we received the Boeing operator's magazine. They once had a story about someone who was retiring after 75 years at the company (she started at 20). The article noted that at the time Boeing did not have a ceremony for 75 years of service (up to 70 only) and had to come up with one for her.

Many of the very long-term employees were women who started by stretching fabric over wooden airframes.
my wifes aunt has been at boeing for 50 years . i said you have been there a long time and she said there are a few there that have been there quite a bit longer .

Can't match this interesting story but in Louisville, Mike Linnig's has been in business 101 years I think. My best friend lived a mile from them and got me started eating there. Our favorite server was there for 46 years, retiring in his 80's. Too far to enjoy now I'm not on the road and passing by regularly. Definitely miss it.

... and we just stopped minting pennies. He could have seen his cash drawer reorganized for the first time in his life!
