He’s a Ford dealership mechanic.

His videos are OK.

Seems like a decent guy trying to make a living.

Was. I believe he got canned or quit.

Either way, he claimed to be a Ford Master mechanic or something like that and had no idea how adaptive tables worked in a transmission.

That and if you prove him wrong he'll either ban you, or delete your post.

He's right up there with Scotty Kilmer on the list of crap Youtube 'mechanics' I won't give a watch to.

By golly you OWE HIM your support.

There is already an invention for this.It is called a plastic funnel. As has been said, what debris is going to get in a filter out of a new container of oil?
I did a VOA with particle count on an oil. After the OCI, sent a sample for a used oil analysis with particle count. The used oil analysis particle counts were lower than the VOA. The oil sample kit including particle count claims to have a higher cleanliness sample bottle and has more cautions on handling vs a regular sample kit. I've heard somewhere the new oil coming out of jugs have higher levels of particles due to the cleanliness (or lack thereof) the jugs themselves. I'm assuming the filter either captured some of these particles, or the test is just a scam.

Only necessary on big diesel’s unless I’ve been doing it wrong 20+ years I haven’t lost an engine yet

^^🤡^^ … Suddenly LSJr is lookin’ good !
Looks like some sippy cup my kids would drink their chocolate milk from. He should invest in better shop lighting I think the fluorescent mercury tubes are doing him damage

Maybe like ford mechanic he gets his best ideas in the shower lol when i was showering i thought to myself who will be the first flat rate shop to endorse this method :ROFLMAO:. You'll never find this pre-filling system in a take 5, jiffy lube or Valvoline instant oil change spot. I remember getting a coffee at the drive-thru was 2-3 mins now waiting on people that order double shot Expresso iced with 2 shots of this 4 pumps of that hold the cows milk add vegan or some other alternative dairy and sweetener. 🤯

Try telling the guy that wants to get his oil change on his lunch hour that you need an additional 15 mins to pre-fill some guys f150 filter.

And for my sake I don't even want to flush out my funnel now there's another filling apparatus to clean no thank you.

I tried pre-filling a filter for the 2.4 of my Honda. It has a tilted angle when mounted, so when I tried to attach the pre-filed filter a lot came out, and made a big mess.

----------

Also, I bought and tried an oil-utter. With a filter mounted with a tilt, it just makes a mess, and then you have to clean the oil-utter also.

It's good for people to invent, make, and sell products. But not everything is a homerun.

Oh, boy. This guy is a riot. I would love to know what his thoughts are on removing the support material from the print and any shavings broken loose from screwing the thread adapter onto the filter as far as FOD goes. I guarantee pouring oil in the center from a new jug of oil is safer than this setup.

If you fill the filter with oil and then tilt it 45 degrees , oil will come out . Why is that so hard to understand ?
Thank you! None of this is hard to understand. Every filter I use (~100 a year) gets oil before install and most of those are not bottom mount and don't make a mess.

Is that surprising? He's a Ford Master Tech.

He's like the guy from The Car Care Nut, but for Ford.
The Car Care Nut may give some biased opinions especially on things like filters and oil, OEM or nothing. But he is one of the best Toyota mechanics out there, he does the job right.

The Car Care Nut is a lot more professional, friendly, doesn't let his ego take over and doesn't insult people in his comments for simply disagreeing or being proved wrong on something so they are in completely different brackets.

Yeah, when he said, "you don't want the transmission fluid too clean..." I was out. I can't handle that level of ignorance / self importance.
