I came out of work tonight only to find a flat rear tire. Looks like I got a toothpick stuck in my sidewall!

Done some checking around and people really like the BFG T/A KO. Went to America's tire. $380something for 2 tires!

I'm running 31-10.5x15's. I asked if they could do any better and they came back with $360 so I walked. There site says that they will match any lower price.

America's tire wants $158/ea. Tire rack wants $140/ea.

America's tire wants $15/ea to mount and balance. Walmart gets $7.50/ea to balance with free mount. Wonder if AT will match WM balance price?

Anybody know of any place online thats cheaper than tire rack?

What's that 7.50 per tire to balance/mount?

I was under the impression it was 5.00/tire to mount, 5.00/tire to balance, so you're talking 10 bucks per tire, $40 total, no tax (at least here in FL) since it's a "service" and it's not taxed.

The thing I've noticed with online tire sites, sure they "look" cheaper, but by the time you add in road hazard warranty, and shipping cost, you almost break-even.

Sears stores match any price and beat by 10% (at least they used to)....keep going back and forth with the beaten price until someone flinches!

If you buy the tire at WM they mount for free and $7.50 for lifetime balance.

But they do not carry BFG. They have a Goodyear I was looking into

The week for tires. Lovely spouses 1 month old Equinox picked up a nail in the sidewall. 260.00 for a Michelin Latitude Tour. Tire Rack is about your best bet. I've dealt with Discount Tire Direct before. They are OK too, and have retail outlets that match web pricing.

From my experience, AT/DT will price match Tirerack's price plus shipping cost. Never tried haggling with their mount and balance price. Never hurts to ask!

I think Tire rack is about the cheapest? My Dad went to Oregon and had them put on at Discount so no sales tax. I was going to get the same tire brand and model you want.
The Hankook tires were $341 with no tax, so they are in the ballpark of what you are looking at. Actually about $12 less for the two tires were I live and the star ratings are a little better than the BFGs. I actually like the tread pattern better.

I bought BFG Touring tires for my 98 Taurus but decided to Try the Hankook for the rears on the truck. It's 2 wheel drive.

America's Tire do match the total price. Just came back from fixing a flat tire for free at a local America's Tire. When I was there, I asked if they match price with onlinetires.com, the guy said they will match total out of the door price, including tax (if any), shipping(if any), mount and balance.

The tire is $10 cheaper @ $148 but they add $42 for shipping per tire.

Try onlinetires.com. I looked at the size 31/10.5x15 at onlinetires.com, General Grabber HTS is $107 plus shipping, the cheapest is FALKEN Ziex S/TZ-04 at $83. Mounting and lifetime balance at WM is about $15-16.
