Wish you didn’t have to buy them on Amazon. I’m just glad we still have an option for USA made vise grips. The Snap-on ones are USA made too but I’d hate to see the price of them.
Also the fact that they are using only USA made steel in their pliers is another key factor on why i will be buying more than the one plier i just got.I'm glad this company is fulfilling their promises. Remember that this company now makes their locking pliers in the same small town and factory as the old Vice-Grips plant and use as many of the former laid off employees as possible. I live about a half an hour away from where they are being manufactured and decades ago my brother actually worked there during the winter months in the shipping department.
I'll probably being buying his a pair for his Christmas present.
A quick Google of Malco pliers reveals at least half a dozen tool suppliers, beside Amazon, where you can purchase these.Wish you didn’t have to buy them on Amazon. Well…that sure is disappointing. I just ordered a few more from Amazon. The feel and quality of these is a big step above the Chinese made junk that Vise-Grip sells.Malco exiting the locking pliers business:

If you like the Eagle Grips or want to try a pair, might want to buy some now while available.
That’s really terrible. Since every Chinese junk supplier seems to be able to make “locking pliers” (and I had to buy some in a pinch once - they were really bad), it’s hard to understand what core competency doesn’t align, especially since it seems like they bought the old tooling.

Probably more like people are addicted to buying third world stuff.
Wonder if those are rebranded Bollman?I have a pair of these, they are good with sharp long lasting teeth. Their new automatic adjusting ones suck bad.

No, they don’t have the skills or distribution channel to sell them. The pliers are excellent quality. They made a good product from what you guys are saying, yet they're saying they're not going to make it anymore because ... they don't have the skills to make them.
They are. Made in the same town.Wonder if those are rebranded Bollman?
I have two sets of the Gedore 137-10 locking pliers that were purchased before the Eagle Grips were available, and they have been very good. Made in Austria by Gedore.
