Mail truck broke down?

I wonder if your mailman just "had it" with all the holiday stress and endless overtime and when his sucky little 1985 Chevy S10 in costume died he just walked into town, bought a beer, and watched the bar TV. With Normie.
Would have made more sense to drive 1 mile to the gas station. They have 3 rows dedicated to booze... Some very expensive. Snacks etc.

That would be a fun GTA V mission.

Not GTA, but that reminded me of crazy taxi lol

I know it's a remote location in the desert, but that delivery van indicates a city carrier mail route. Unless that carrier had a medical emergency, he should be disciplined or fired for abandoning the mail. Even if it happened late at night, that mail should have been removed from a disabled truck by the carrier or another postal worker. Postal Inspectors should have been notified.

What happens in the desert, stays in the desert.

It was probably time to clock out so he just left it and went home. Our local post office hours are 8:30 to 4:30 so that nobody can get their big packages.

It is almost like you think you do not like the desert. I moved here from Lewis County is Western Washington back in 2011. No regrets. Sunny weather all week. High today is supposed to be 72. Next week we get rain for those of us dreaming of a wet Christmas, just like the ones we used to know.

Then, I assume, we will get real winter weather and freezing every night.

Come visit next July. You will love it.

I love the desert in the winter. But yes I was kidding really. I love it wet and green.

My joke has less to do with that and more to do with people blowing up, stealing, etc in the desert. Like a free for all. Kind of like W WA
