I'm currently running a Mahle OC-705 on my Town Car with Mobil 1 5W30. The car's primarily highway driven and I'm planning on a 6-10k mile OCI.

This filter's made in Mexico, unlike the other Austrian made Mahle's, and it has louvers vs holes, so I wonder if it's actually a Mahle, or just a rebadged...something.

Anyone using this filter or know anything about it?

It does have a silicone ADBV btw.

I've used made-in-Austria-Mahle but never the Mexican ones so I can't comment directly, but I'd go to the analogy of German vs. Mexican built VWs. Use eBay.de or .co.uk for Austrian filters.

Ordered one the other day. Going on the Vic with castrol high mileage synthetic. Going to run it for a 7500 oci. Also ordered a Pronto ex filter rated for 10,000 miles and a parts plus ex filter rated at 10,000 miles

Be sure to cut and post them up here when you're done with them!

Got the filters today and the mahle has louvers and they are pretty open and lots of them. I see no flow problems with them. The Pronto ex has holes lots of them. And says synthetic media used. Same with the parts plus ex filter. The Pronto was 4.50 the parts plus was 4.99 and the mahle was 4.00
