Magnefine as coolant bypass filter?

Has anyone used a Magnifine as a coolant filter? Looking at one I just picked up form Napa they look like they may be up to the task, at least externally. I know they will cost more than a spin on over time but all of my vehicles, even the 7500, are cramped for space and I would like add coolant filters.

Thanks for the link. I know about the fuel filters but was curious about Magnefine since it has a magnet and at least has better construction that the plastic filter.

interesting idea... i wonder if anyone has cut open a new spin on coolant filter? Is the media really any different than oil filter media?

I have not cut one open yet. But I just installed this one, http://www.wixfilters.com/filterlookup/PartDetail.asp?Part=24070 on my 7500 and I believe its cellulose just like the magnafine.
