I have a Bersa 22 pistol and the magazine doesn't move smoothly. The units is smooth going into and out of the gun but, when I move the spring back when loading, I feel some roughness. What should I lubricate with? Sincerely. Edward Hayes

I only use MPro7 gun oil and cleaner it's great stuff and doesn't stink at all
Does the roughness affect the reliability of the action? If not, I'd be inclined to clean the magazine and let it be.
Is it snagging on something inside, like a metal ridge or burr? Maybe you can clean that up with sandpaper.
I personally don't really lube my magazines much more than a quick wipe with a cloth that might have some residual lube on it. If I were to lubricate it, I'd probably look for something that dries.

I was assuming he meant that he needed to lube the gun, the magazines don't need a whole lot of attention, maybe some compressed air and wipe the spring with a very lightly oiled cloth
Leave it be. I find lube on the inside of mags attracts crud more than it helps. It won't do a lick to help the pistol reliability.
Would silicone spray by OK?
Get a can of Brake Cleaner, non-clorinated, and spray the insides of the Mag and let dry. If you still have roughness, pull bottom plate off and see what the prob is. Note how the spring comes out and put back the same way...typically the top end of the spring goes back in with the pointed end towards the front of the Mag.
If your mag is the type that does not have a removable bottom plate you might need to buy a new mag. Midway is a good source with reasonable shipping.

I would think a thin film dry silicone lube would work fine in a magazine. I'd disassemble it and clean it up real good before applying. And look for wear on the metal internals as a clue for where it might be binding.

Do you have another magazine to verify that it's actually the magazine causing the issue?
I found a burr and was able to clean it off with a jewelers file.
