I agree here, only thing is that you could take a sample right around the end of an oem interval run on the 6.0 and it would probably not meet Ford's spec...
They're getting tight with their warranty on the 6.0 liters because they refuse to admit they produced a substandard engine...lots of defective 6.0's. Lots of 6.0's that turned out well, too. But I don't believe Ford put their best into that one...as much as I like their trucks.
Ford didn't produce the 6.0L. Just like they didn't produce the 7.3L, or the new 6.4L.
All three of these engines were produced by International Truck and Engine.
The 7.3L is the DT444
The 6.0L is the VT365
The 6.4L is the MAXXFORCE 7
Ford went after International legally over the issues with the 6.0L, and International blamed Ford's programming and implementation of the engine.
Ultimately, this has led to rather poor relations between them right now, and the reason Ford is apparently pursuing an in-house Diesel V8.
