Have you tried Astro's offerings? I have one but haven't used it yet.

No I haven't, I am sure they are good as is most of the Astro stuff.

Well, used it today for the first time to break loose lug nuts (overkill) and caliper bolts, which it was perfect for. I tried cracking the bolts loose with an 18" breaker bar first and couldn't do it. The 2962-20 made me look like a wimp. I learned that it's kind of too much on lug nuts since it backs them out really fast and makes them looser than I want them when I'm cracking them loose with the wheel on the ground before jacking. But, any suspension bolt I'm sure is no match. I love the size and weight too. I just ran it with my 2.0 battery without issues. In my case I doubt I'll need to ever get a XC battery.

I like the compact 3.0s for nailers and impact drivers. Lighter and not as tall

Maybe I should get a couple. Should've seen my wife trying to use the Super Sawzall with an 8.0 Forge.

I use the IR power sockets, they seem to work well. The 17mm is especially useful when it comes to those blasted euro lug bolts that have not be updated to the 2 piece design where a big fat socket will not fit.

Use it in mode 4 when doing lug nuts, when removing lug nuts it'll slow down after it breaks them loose; it'll torque to 35ft/lb only and shut off when installing the nuts.

I bought them individually because I was not sure it would do the job. I was more than a little skeptical but after using it I bought the other metric sizes I wanted. Pricey sockets but worth every penny when it gets you out of a bind.

New to impact wrenches , what speed is best to remove the bolt for the drive pulley of a 12+ year old JD130 with the B&S 22 H.P. Twin Cylinder ? The drive belt for the transmission has a large chunk missing out of it and could break when in use . Was considering the MAKITA , but went with this since would get minimal use . It's $79.88 with battery + charger .

That impact gets good reviews. As far as speed goes, I always start with the slowest speed/lowest power that will do the job and go faster from there.
