Wear metal concentrations are dependent on the ratio of engine displacement to sump size....The higher this number is, the higher the wear metal concentrations will be and vice versa.

So a small, four cylinder engine will almost always show lower concentrations - particularly of Fe from the valve train and cylinder walls.

Razl, how much makeup oil was added? .5qt? Seems low if you installed a bypass filter.

Buster, the EPS-10 is INCREDIBLY compact, the diameter of the filter spool is probably < .5" smaller than the ID of the vessel; there is no vast extra sump capacity with this unit. 1/2 qt extra is about what I add
