I have a nice Chrysler concorde I'm trying to keep that way. I just changed the Fluid and filter and all that good stuff at the dealership. still though some times I can feel the tranny slip or just shift hard. I know since it's a chrysler I have to bee really careful about what I put in it.

So I have used lucas befor in my old caddy, and it worked GREAT! What do you guys thing? I have a 2002 Chrysler concorde LXI 3.5L v6. 100,000m

Any information on this would be great.

I wouldn't use anything but ATF+4 in that tranny. Sorry, but ATF+4 is a pretty good spec for an OEM.

I'd consider a flush. A pan drop is only a partial change.

Also, check the level. Grossly under/over-filled will cause those issues. And, shift quality can also be caused by poor engine state of tune, broken or loose drivetrain components or mounts, and other things.

No, the car rides smooth and clean, every thing is top notch as far as I can tell. Also the +4 is (i think!) at the right amount, looks good when I check it.

It just slips every so often.

Lucas ATF additive will not hurt that transmission at all. It basicly has some additional seal conditioning agents in it and thickens the fluid a bit. A lot of people includeing myself have used Lucas ATF additive and never had a problem! It has always helped in every application I have used it in.

If your transmission is slipping, you should have it looked into by a professional. Sorry, but there are too many hardware and software issues with transmissions. Just throwing in something isn't the solution.

You need to have it scanned for errors and for CVI.

Once you ruled out component failures, like worn clutches, defective solenoids or sensors, then feel free to add whatever you want to the transmission.

No no, like a I said it just slips or no, it shifts ruff, some times. That's all, nothing I would worry about. I was just thinking adding some lucas to it might smooth it out a bit. I would not add to much just a little bit.

johnbrowning: I know I have used lucas in my old caddy and I love it. I am more or less asking about the chrysler's transmission. Since chrysler's transmissions are so darn picky! Did you know I was asking about chrysler and do you know any thing about them with the ATF+4? Or were you speaking about your car or xcar(not a chrysler)? I hope you get what I'm asking since I'm not sure how to ask it lol.

I would recommend adding some lubegard black, the black one has some friction modifiers that might help with the slipping.
