I bought some of the Lucas Fuel System Cleaner, the stuff that you are suposed to add 3 oz per 10 gallons of gasoline. Well, I've used a full quart so far in two vehicles, a 95 chevy van with a 350 and 112K miles and an 03 Dodge Ram with a 4.7 and 30K on it.
Two things I noticed after two tanks were run through each;
1. My fuel consumption did not change one bit, and I track it like a hawk. No, driving habits have not changed at all.
2. My wallet was lighter by $9 for the quart which would have been better spent on 4 gallons of gas.

It does say on the bottle that this product will more than pay for itself by the time its used up! Pretty optimistic.

Am I missing something here or do I have nice clean injectors and valves now?

No it didn't change anything with my 91 Festiva or 94 Aspire either. Used 1/4 can of seafoam in the tank, 1/4 can of seafoam through the pcv, and 1/4 can of seafoam in the crankcase 30 miles before a oil change after trying that product and I saw and felt a difference. Eric

Fuelman if your system was dirty it would have made a huge difference! If your ECM can optimize fuel and spark based on the fuel used it also makes a difference! My Camry see a noticeable improvment with Lucas UCL in terms of MPG and I have used it off and on since it was new and it is now 2 years old and has 20,000 miles on it. It is the only fuel additive I have tried that increases my MPG.

I am wounder if the aerodynamics of the vechiles in question would even allow for a 1%-10% improvment to even be noticeable! You are basicly driveing bricks with wells and their gas milage is more affected by thier lack of aerodynamics then anything else! Those same engines in cars would see a huge difference in fuel economy even if the weight was the same. Example Buick Road Master or Caprice compared to a pickup truck even with the same engine the cars tended to get an extra 10MPG on the why with the same transmission etc.....
