I've read about the foaming issues with Lucas Oil, but the consensus seems to be that it only happens with their oil additives.

Is this also the case (in your experience) with their regular motorcycle oil as well?

Just bought some last night (10w40) with a Wix filter at O'Reilly & going to try it for the first time. Others who have used it on Kawasaki forums give it mixed reviews....and I'm curious to know if anyone here had good luck with it

I have seen some analysis posted of their oils, and they are very ho hum for the price you pay. Honestly you would be better getting Mobil 1 moto oil. Similar price, but with a better anti wear package especially.

Hi.

I highly doubt it is a "bad" oil. It may not be a "great" oil, but the odds are if you keep a reasonable oil change interval, it will work fine. If you have concerns, just shorten the OCI some.

Despite a lot of emotional comments on here about various oils, there are a TON of VERY good oils out there for your bike. Odd of you damaging the bike due to an oil problem are near zero if you take reasonable care to change it and use an apporpriate oil. That said, I would tend to stick with an oil that is a known quality and there are a lot of those mentioned on here with the most common being the Major brand HDEO 15w40 oils; lots of people using them in all kinds of bikes. Unless you are violently punishing the engine, I can't conceive you won't have anything but good luck with them and at a considerably lower cost than "motorcycle" oil.

If you want to stick with a premium bike oil, there will be lots of references to them on here.....just dig around in the older posts and threads.....you will get a TON of info.

From what I can tell by reading a lot of comments on here, Mobil 1 10W-40 motorcycle oil seems to kind of be a standard of comparison. It is a very good, widely used "known quantity" oil. Is it the "best" oil...probably not. Is it better than most other common oils, and particularly petroleum oils??...yeah, probably.

Use the stuff you bought and while you are running that oil, do a lot of reading on here and see if there is something else that
grabs your attention.
