I'm about to try LubriGold full synthetic 5W-20, blended by Warren Unilube in Dunn, NC. A retailer there has it in cases of 6 for $3.53 a quart, everyday price. Yes, it's from a small, independent blender/bottler, but it has to be an awesome buy at that everyday price. I know AAP has the Havoline synthetic special running now, but I like giving business to the independents. Any opinions or ideas out there?

Lubrigold is a great syn lube if I recall correctly. I remember seeing the VOA for it on the spotlight on synthetics on pqia.com. It has a good shot of Molly but I believe its strength is its low noack only downside is its tbn which is around 7 or 8 but valvoline proved that you don't need high tbn for low wear metals. For that price you are getting a great deal. I would feel comfortable running that for 7 k maybe 8k miles for an oci plus it meets dexos which is a plus

Warren Unilube stuff is commonly found at the smaller auto parts stores... We have one called "World Auto Parts" around here that carries Warren products.

They are a solid affordable oil. I used WU products in my mowers, and cars. Warren Unilube once made the oil for AAP... although I think they switched to the Other Warren...

It's a great buy at that price... I should look around here for it.
