Lube for Toyota Tacoma 4WD (Not LSD)

I have a base 4WD Tacoma without the limited slip differential (if that matters). This is what my owner's manual states.



Would this Redline product be the appropriate one to use, since it is about time to replace the factory fill? I am not sure about the LT designator in the manual.

That Red Line product will do nicely. I put Mobil 1 75w-90 in both differentials and the transfer case of my 2008 Tacoma (also non-LSD) with good results.

What does the "LT" designation mean? I am worried that the Redline is for LSDs only.

You can use LSD approved oil in non-LSD differentials, so don't worry about using either the redline or the Toyota gear oil.

Mobil 1 75W90 is available everywhere, is cheap, and can get it with online coupons (even cheaper) at Advance Auto Parts if you have one of those around you.
