I want to give my elliptical and bike a once over for the new year. U tube videos show them using a gel-like 100% synthetic lube. I found a synthetic lube at Home Depot, but it is not offered for sale. Huh?

Does anyone know of some product I can purchase at a Menards or farm store that will serve my purpose?

Might be silicone. Super lube makes a white petroleum and a white silicone, both with PTFE.

It does not need anything fancy, how about regular lithium grease for metal on metal, and silicone grease for plastic on (anything)? OR use same as what came from the factory so you don't have a concern about compatibility and cleaning the old grease out.

I bought the SuperLube. There's some tight clearances where the arms and pedal brackets pivot. This stuff worked great and the movement is VERY smooth now.

Treadmills call for silicone spray between the belt and deck.

For bikes, mechanics use Tri-Flow as a nearly universal lube for cables and chains. You did fine with SuperLube.
