If your tires show 80psi, then you have E load range 10 ply tires, typical to 3\4 and 1 ton trucks.=realistically to much tire for the weight of your truck.Specifically when NOT towing or heavy loads, what psi are you running? 265/70/17 LT tires I’m running 44-45 psi w just the smart cap and a plastic container of tools, etc on the bed, and it’s a little stiff but I’m ok w how it rides. Should I run higher, lower, or stay put? Max is 80 psi stated on the tire.

My 1997 C2500 Suburban says 35 psi front 50 psi rear when not towing or hauling heavy. For max capacity or towing it calls for 50 psi front, 80 psi rear. Here’s my door placard on my 2008 3/4 ton Suburban. I will go with 50 psi in all four corners when not towing.
