Some great info here that most of us know about oil consumption. Keep that PCV system maintained, use top tier fuel, and use high quality oil that outperforms API standards. Engine/driving conditions 100% contribute to oil consumption.
I want his shirt.Top tier fuel isn’t just a marketing gimmick, high quality oils are actually better for engine performance and longevity vs budget oils, -40 may not be the best viscosity for low tension piston ring applications.
Bro was most definitely targeting the all BITOGERS/haters with this video. If you’re reading this Lake - well done, sir!![]()

Oil hoarders; sorry, oil goes bad. Thickies freaking out over - 8 and - 16; it’s fine, here let me put some in daughter’s vehicle. TT skeptics; um, actually it does have more additives and cleans better. Budget oil is just as good a top tier oils; nope, but nice consumption problem you caused there. - 40 in everything; not so fast there with those low tension rings, skippy.I want his shirt.
Sure, but low tension rings have been around for decades and many of those applications have spec'd 40, 50 or even 60 grade oils. Low tension rings don't necessitate low viscosity.-40 may not be the best viscosity for low tension piston ring applications.
Skip to 2:53...Will watch when I'm napping later. Listening to music now.
Does he cover consumption when changing oil types/brands?
Dude....I saw that he had some HPL but didn't see the label...Wonder what "W2-40" isView attachment 303349
Left a comment on the video about it...we'll see if he responds...Dude....I saw that he had some HPL but didn't see the label...
