I always run top tier fuel in both my Silverado 6.6 gas and my Equinox 1.5T. As an added measure I was planning to use some of the Techron fuel system cleaner as a maintenance measure on both. Neither is driven more than 8k per year, the car for daily driver and the truck mostly for towing and travel. Has anyone seen any information on a maintenance dosing using the Techron ?
I don't think using less more often is a great idea. Chevron lists this calculator based on tank size.
I think techron states no more than 5 per oci.
I usually use it a tank before an oil change.

1 full dose a year would be plenty enough for you. That’s like a dose every oci for some people if your only driving each vehicle 8k miles per year.
