LS430 diff: Redline 75w90 good choice?

I want to have the differential fluid replaced on my '06 Lexus LS430. The spec is a little vague, but basically GL-5 75w-85. That's an odd viscosity. Redline does make one in this viscosity, but it would take a little while to get and I wanted to do this change on Monday so I went ahead and ordered the much more common 75w90.

Any reason to be concerned or should this work well?

Anything better than Redline for this application?

Redline should be fine. I'm personally more of a fan of amsoil svg, because redline products, though well specced on paper, never seem to maintain their feel (diff noise and mt shift quality in my case).

But I don't think you can really go wrong with it.

Redline is synthetic GL-5 at 75W-90. I got a five Gal from Amazon sale for around 100 last time. Plan to use in my LX-470. Amsoil, M1 and Royal Purple are all very good gear oil to use. Just change it every 50k/100k depend if you tow boats, cross water or no.

what does user's manual say? If it says 75W85 then use it or you can still use 75W90 with limit slip additive. For heave duty usage, you can use 75W-110, you mph may suffer.

He mentioned the redline 75w85 in the original post....says it would take longer to get and did not want to wait.
