In many car specific forums that I have been a part of, one of the funniest replies was when back in 2007 I said I filled up at Costco. One person said, I don't deserve the car I have (E92 335).

BITOG is most definitely a fantastic place, full of good information and intelligent people.

I stumbled ( oil obsessed like many , google searches until I struck gold ) across this site around 2002 and visit everyday but didn’t become a member until a few years ago.

With all due respect, I don’t agree about everyone being “ respectful” though.

I stick to my own subject matter experience - flying.

Absolute Rule #1: Because driving circumstances vary so much, you must realize there is no "best oil".

BITOG covers wide spectra, including vehicle budgets, performance imperatives, replacement part/tire snobbery etc. The one thing I can tell you never to do is.......pack your vehicle with fast food garbage such that ants proliferate. It's gross.

I try to be as helpful as I can and learn at the same time. I’ve learned many things and I’ve had some goes at it with other members who didn’t agree but that’s ok it’s still a great forum. Especially the tool section. Hopefully you have learned a lot too John. I’m young but I did read this forum before joining even when it was in the old format because I first found it when I got interested in cars but didn’t join till later. I was born in 2002 so probably around the time this site was created lol. I’m young I know but they seem to like me here so that’s good haha.

Haha here it is 1 1/2 mos later and I can see that. But it mimics life. Always gonna be that aspect of it.
