I'm 40 today!!! I joke to some & say that my brother & I share the same b-day but we're not twins. When they scratch their heads I'll tell them we're 5 years apart. He's 5 yrs older.

I was super excited when 30 came around but 40 is another level. You see I was hit by drunk driver in 1999 & most folks in my situation don't survive. Thanks to the life support & other medical people I'm here breathing today. I really enjoy this forum, family, friends, & a good internet connection.

Well, I've been waiting patiently for the official "Over the Hill" age. When I do a Bing search it shows US males 79 years but the males in my family that would be like living until 100..It just doesn't happen. The wife is wanting me to take her to Panera Bread b/c I have a free birthday "Pastry". :ROFLMAO:

Think I might surprise her & really splurge by signing her up for the "Unlimited Coffee" offer.

Well fellow BITOG's... When do you think over the hill starts? Is your family lifespan a bit different?

Have a great day!!! ๐ŸŽ‚ ๐ŸŽ‰ ๐ŸŽ‰ ๐ŸŽ‰

Happy Birthday!! Glad you made it this far. In my family, at 73, I have outlived longer than the previous three generations of men, save one or two uncles. Consequently, sometimes I feel like I am running out the clock.

My brother and I share the same birthday, too. We were born the same day, at the same hour (though not the same time), in the same hospital, with the same attending physician, four years apart, on the 24th of June. Our younger sister was also born on the 24th, but in November. My mom was born on May 24th and my dad on August 24th.

Happy Birthday, Enjoy it! Great age and a time where the years REALLY start flying by, enjoy everyday.
I found passing 40 was a tough one for me mentally. Sounded so old and it's actually young but make sure to enjoy life because the years start flying by. ๐Ÿฅณ

My brother and my son shared the same hand surgeon for the same reason (partial finger amputation) 38 years apart. And the doctor remembered my brother and his situation without prompting, other than his name. Even remembered the hospital even though it was different than the one my son was treated at. I occasionally have trouble remembering what I ate 38 minutes agoโ€ฆ

Happy Birthday! I just turned 42 on August 24th of this year. 40 feels different. Depending on where you are people will start calling you Sir which makes me feel old. But people also seem at least to me to ask what I think now more often than in years past.

You were smashed up in a car crash when you were 15?

Do yoga. It will strengthen you throughout.

Yoga is an exercise.
Yoga is not a religion.
"Hot yoga" (aka Bikram) is extra good as it cleanses your skin like you never knew possible.

So it's YOUR 40th birthday and the wife gets the coffee gift and Panera bread? What am I missing?

Nothing

You're whipped like the rest of us ;) :ROFLMAO: ๐Ÿ˜. I picked a place for my 55th and she said I don't want to go there I want this instead, so we did.

You share a birthday with my 2 year older sister. Just had an hour long good chat with her. Stay close with friends and family (if you like them). Life goes by quickly.
