Stealing or tampering with the mail is a pretty serious federal offense. I doubt many postal employees would risk it to steal gadgets out the boxes.

I don't guess you meant this as humor, but it is quite funny. Yep, the USPS is the holy grail of screening employees. Thanks for the joke.

The customers already constantly complain about shipping costs, but yes as I stated we really try to minimize SFRB's.

I assume you have met with at least 1 of the reps for UPS and FEDEX? If not you should. I had a meeting with UPS last week. Both carriers have the 1st $100 of insurance is free.

What are you talking about? I never said they were the holy grail of screening just that they do test and screen more and have federal law enforcement officers working security. A worker steals from fedex and they'll probably fire him. But if you steal from the post office he's likely to face federal charges. Companies like Fedex and UPS pay little and have such high turnover that they are willing and have to hire just about anyone that shows up. Although the post office is probably becoming more low payed, temporary workers to be competitive. It's not very easy to get on the Post Office or on any gov job although there is the affirmative action baloney but any private corporation hires by AA too. I doubt anyone is stealing or losing the flat rate boxes anyway. Probably the neighbors are stealing them when they're left at the door (which all delivery service do) or the customers are lying about not getting their package or something along those lines.
