Speaking of the front diff, mine got the infamous growl and had to be rebuilt under warranty (forget what years were impacted, it was like 08 through 10 or 11); I went to change the front diff oil 10k after it was rebuilt and it wasn't coming off. I wound up having to Mityvac it.
Worst part of the oil change is removing the "skidplate" so as to get to the oil filter. I swear, one of these days I'm going to zip a hole through it. FWIW I've never used the predrain feature on the oil filter. I just drop the whole works. Maybe one of these days I'll try the predrain, see how it works.
