Looong shipping time from discounttires.com

I liked their prices, but their shipping times are really long. It is going to be nearly two weeks from when I purchased in-stock tires to when I received them.

I wished I had used tirerack.com as they get them to you quick. Just an FYI to anyone who cares about how long the shipping is when you are shopping for tires.

That's wierd, I received my set in 3 days.

You have to pay attention to their "Stock Status per Distribution Center" when you click on the tire you are interested in. "Special Orders" will obviously take longer as well.

Not always the case. I had my tires three days after I ordered them, shipped from Texas to Minnesota. The tires were listed as in stock, and the delivery was exactly as predicted by UPS.

Please note that discounttires.com is not the same as discounttiredirect.com

Discounttiredirect.com is much better in price/shipping/customer services.

Next time try Discounttiredirect.com, you'll happy with your purchase(s).

maybe its a one off. The tires said in stock when I purchased them. I am in NY and the Tires are coming from California...maybe that is the issue? Unfortunately, they don't tell you where they are coming from when you buy them.

Ooops. I was assuming the incorrect seller as well. Looking at their prices w/shipping, I'm unsure why one would order from them anyway? The prices I checked for my application were higher than discounttiresdirect when shipping was included.

I was a long time tirerack fan..

but they let me down and discounttiredirect picked up their slack.


Now If im ordering online both will compete for my business.

also if you call discounttiredirect on the phone

sometimes they throw in a tire for free etc.

Yes, I should have gone with discounttiredirect.com...they would have saved me $10/tire any maybe had them to me sooner.

I've got tire orders the next day with Tire Rack.
Though,one of their warehouses is in Delaware and I'm in north Jersey.

Me too. Tire Rack from the Delaware warehouse to my door in PA the next day. I use them often. I have used Discount Tire Direct too and been pleased. Just seems that Tire Rack will have more options to choose from.

Often confused and when I read the thread subject, I thought it was about DTD, which is the online tire company of Discount Tire.

Could see where they would be easily confused if one is not familiar with Discount Tire. There's no S at the end of Tire in either DT or DTD.

If Tire Rack runs out of a tire they will ship from a further warehouse at no extra cost.
