Looks like my Hummingbirds have vamoosed.

One year later, my Hummingbirds vamoosed on the same day of the month. Crazy. I understand they sense the length of the days. We haven’t had any cold days that would trigger a migration. See you next year! Keep your feeders filled for travelers!

That is amazing- I was just watching ours.

Some do overwinter here which is even more amazing. What do they eat?
 
Looks like the little guys are headed to Mexico. Here is my last pic. I also have a nice video. Hope to see them next May. Keep your feeders out for the travellers!

Maybe its because the amount of light per day is getting to be less and they will have longer amounts of light per day south of you.

I don't think its about temperature in August.

I’ll keep my plants watered - have a half dozen of their favorite now …
Seeing them taste test them all 🙄
 
almost non stop feeding north of ATL lately, they’ve been hungry all summer but there does appear to be some new visitors showing up.
