Looks like the little guys are headed to Mexico. Here is my last pic. I also have a nice video. Hope to see them next May. Keep your feeders out for the travellers!

I have had several hummingbirds think my high mounted security camera is a feeder. They actually do produce a humming sound.

The ones that visit us, don't seem to like competition.
But their numbers aren't as high as last year.

Thankfully there's no hornets to harass them (one sting and they are dead).

Some yellow jackets were chasing them at the feeder. The Hummingbirds stay clear of them for sure. I put up a trap for the wasps and collected dozens.

Hummingbirds around here (northern Minnesota) were slurping down a ton of nectar. I was refilling all three of my feeders every day they were guzzling it so much.

I’ve been watching and the activity around them has died down. I get a few still but I imagine in a week or so I won’t have any more feeding at my location.

I’ll leave them out for a bit to feed any passersby but I’ll take them in by Labor Day.

I’m in So NH. They must be making a pitstop because the past week I went from the normal 2 to more than 10. I also have two woodpeckers that like the feeders.

The Rose of Sharon bush is the big attractor right now around me. I have big one in the backyard and the hummers come three times a day.

I see them down at the pond too stealing stuff from the spider webs in the willow trees over the water.

Ours are stills tanking up like crazy. Such feisty and territorial little devils too! They're always chasing each other away from our 8 or so feeders and chirping at each other.

They move so darned fast and disappear, then reappear, it's hard to get a bead on how many there actually are!
